USPA NEWS - World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) founder Dr Abdul Basit Syed FRSA - Calls for an Immediate Ceasefire in Israel and Palestine.
LONDON, 2nd December 2023, As the violence in Israel and Palestine escalates and threatens world stability, the World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) founder Dr Abdul Basit Syed joined a coalition of more than 70 Global NGOs in calling for a permanent ceasefire between Israel and Palestine to prevent any further loss of life and destruction on either side.
The statement, co-signed by many prominent Global Peace Activists from the WHD, which is an organisation with special consultative status at the United Nations, condemned all violence against civilians and pleaded with both parties to respect international humanitarian law and heed the cries of millions of people around the world for an immediate ceasefire.
WHD Chairman Dr Abdul Basit Syed FRSA, urged the governments of both Israel and Palestine to immediately initiate peace talks for the sake of humanity.

Dr Abdul Basit Syed, was born on 16th April 1985 in Tamil Nadu, India. Dr AB Syed has been working as a Global Peace Activist with various NGO’s since the year 2005.

Dr Abdul Basit Syed, founded the NGO “World Humanitarian Drive (WHD)” on 10th of April 2018 in London, United Kingdom. Presently he’s serving as the Chairman of the organisation. WHD which has got global operations in 12 countries promoting their interests in supporting Peace, Education and Trade Harmony initiatives in these countries.
